The Edge - International school for Leadership and Spirituality

Living on the Edge

August 1-7, 2004

In the summer of 2004 The Edge, International School forLeadership and Spirituality, opens its doors with it’s first International Summer School: Living on the Edge. It will be a full week of exploring one’s inner and outer edges with the help of the Transformation Game. If you are interested in exploring one or more of the following questions:

The Transformation Game

For this summer school week, we will use a large-scale and expanded version of the Transformation Game specially designed for this event. It differs from the box game that you may know in that it is more complex and multi-levelled, and that we will work in a group of up to60 people at the same time.

This Game is a unique collaborative learning process which provides a playful yet substantial way of understanding and transforming key life issues. Working in teams around a path on the floor, you will explore your personal goals and issues related to the questions above while also engaging withcollective dynamics. As you explore your intentions on different levels, you will gain wider perspectives on your particular attitudes and patterns, recognise and build on your strengths, let go of or transform ineffective behaviours and attitudes, and discover and integrate new directions.

Many of the squares and cards require you to exercise initiative and imagination, to share on a deeply personal level and to make your own choices and decisions -- just like life!

Moving along the path brings opportunities toreceive insights, face and identify challenges and blockages, share appreciations and truthful feedback, experience miracles and transformation, go through periods of depression and isolation, give and receive service, and exercise creativity. Other potential experiences include connecting with angels, exercising free will, checking and acting on intuition, finding new ways and resources to deal with difficulties and setbacks, exploring how to reduce stress, and sharing awareness and blessings with one another and with the earth.)

The Game takes time, focus and a true desire to work towards your own transformation. It comes alive through sharing and interaction. With two skilled guides, this experience is a powerful springboard for growth and development and a wonderful opportunity to make a quantum leap in your engagement with your life’s journey.

The Game operates as a diagnostic tool and creates an environment in which you can make real-time shifts in energy, perception, attitudes and behaviour. It provides a unique opportunity for personal and group learning, and a tangible experience of our interconnectedness.

This experience will also allow participants to explore and experience the flow of the curriculum of the school that will begin in September 2005.
